3.en.83 Peer correction. Improving Andrea’s summary

Last Friday, the diary was not published. Andrea had sent a paragraph which really needed some improvement and I opened a google doc to give you the opportunity to correct  your peers.

The initiative was not very successful, but some students gave it a try. Congratulations to those who made an effort: Philline, Emil, Lovepreet and Sarah Borrás.

Friday 15th April English lesson summary

First attempt: Andrea’s version

ENGLISH: Today in English we started to prepare San Jordi’s day. We talked about the post about the Great Figure poem and we started with the preposition, in the poem there are some prepositions and we learnt and we classified them, and with the partner we made a list of the prepositions we know. Later Maria explains the stressed syllables. After we recited the poem and we talked about the Easter task:
Books -authors – characters – narrator – pages – stories – publishers – spoilers – set – climax – key words – ending – chapter – parts –
genres – comedy – thriller – detective – horror – play – memories – biography – imagination – fiction.

Emil’s correction

Today at study class we began by trying to remember all the words that appear in the Great Figure(3.en.75 Some poems and paintings to prepare Sant Jordi’s).

Later, we wrote all the prepositions of the poem in our notebooks sorting them in different categories, like position, if they produce movement… After that, we wrote down  the difference between : among and between:

Among – is used when we speak for more than two things.

Between – is used when we speak for two things.

Then, Maria explained what stressed syllables (sílaba tónica) and unstressed syllables (sílaba átona) are. At the end of the class,  we recited in groups the poem “Great Figure”.

Sarah Borrás’  SUMMARY
In English session we talked about Sant Jordi’s day. Also, we did the vocabulary of the Great Figure’s poem. Then we recited that poem in groups of 4 people, except Rodrigo, Pilar and Philline. We started with prepositions and stressed syllables.

SUMMARY OF PREPOSITIONS:

In study class we worked with prepositions. We classified and analyzed them. These prepositions were from the Great Figure’s poem. Then, we added more prepositions that we knew.

ENGLISH: Today in English we started to prepare San Jordi’s day. We talked about the post about the Great Figure, the poem that Maria uploaded, we recited it in groups, and Pilar, Philline and Rodrigo, did very well the onomatopoeia.  Later Maria explained the stressed and the unstressed syllables. We  also talked about  Easter.
This is the vocabulary that we have revised, and we have to make an acrostic or something related with the book day, with those  words.
Books -authors – characters – narrator – pages – stories – publishers – spoilers – set …
